Do you have OBS and a PC that can handle your stream?

Yes → a stream key is all you need. You broadcast from your phone or your encoder to your publish URL and your OBS picks that signal up at home. You bring the PC; we bring the stable entry point.

With the Stream Key plan you also connect that OBS to the dashboard: you switch scenes and start the stream from your phone, without opening ports, and you can give it automatic scene switching.

Are you carrying just your phone?

Then what you’re missing is the OBS. Cloud OBS is an OBS running on our servers that you control from the browser: scenes, audio, overlays and the go-live button. No PC at home, and the plan already includes its stream key.

Do you broadcast from your own OBS and worry about the stream dropping?

Failover sits between your OBS and your platform. While you’re fine, it passes your signal through as-is; when your connection drops, it splices in your offline screen so the broadcast doesn’t die, and goes back to your signal when you reconnect. It doesn’t matter what you stream: IRL, gameplay and Just Chatting all benefit the same. It doesn’t replace the other two products: it adds to them.

If you stream with Cloud OBS you don’t need it: there it’s the Cloud OBS that talks to your platform, so your broadcast already doesn’t cut out when you lose coverage.

Every plan with a key accepts RTMP, SRT and SRTLA. Monthly billing in euros, no lock-in.

The two differences that confuse people most

• OBS Basic has no remote desktop. The Desktop tab doesn’t exist: you control the server from the web dashboard and with the overlays. If you need to get into the Cloud OBS desktop, your minimum plan is OBS Standard.
• Stream Key Lite doesn’t control your OBS. It gives you the key and that’s it: you can broadcast to it, but there’s no button to connect your OBS to the dashboard and no automatic scene switching. For that, Stream Key.

Note

There’s no multistream: you broadcast to one destination. And Cloud OBS is built to broadcast, not to record.
