Several videos in a loop

By the end, your Cloud OBS will play your videos one after another and start over after the last one, for as long as you stay live. Nothing has to come from your phone: the server broadcasts on its own.

You need: OBS Standard or OBS Pro · your videos uploaded as assets · 5 minutes

You set it up from the Desktop tab, so you need OBS Standard or OBS Pro (The remote desktop). OBS on the server is in English: the buttons below are quoted as OBS shows them.

The playlist plays whatever is in the folder, so upload every video first. Your plan’s space sets how long it can run without repeating: 5 GB on OBS Standard and 10 GB on OBS Pro.

  1. In the Desktop tab, in the Scenes box, hit +, give the scene a name and hit OK.
  2. With that scene selected, hit + in the Sources box and choose VLC Video. Hit OK.
  3. Next to Playlist, hit + and choose Add Directory to add every video in /home/user/assets, or Add Files to pick only some of them.
  4. Tick Loop Playlist. Tick Shuffle Playlist as well if you want a different order on each loop.
  5. Hit OK.
  6. Go to the Scene switching tab, switch off Turn on automatic scene switching and hit Save configuration. Why, just below.
  7. In the OBS control tab, hit Start stream.
