Look up the notice here exactly as you see it on screen.

Message What it means What to do
“File type not allowed. Use image, video or audio.” The file isn’t a type OBS can use as a source Upload an image, a video or an audio file
“Invalid file name.” The name has characters we don’t accept Rename it with letters, numbers, dashes and the extension dot
“The file exceeds the maximum allowed size.” or “The file exceeds the 500 MB maximum.” It’s over the per-file limit 500 MB per file maximum: trim it or compress it
“No space left on the server. Free up space and try again.” You’ve filled your plan’s storage Delete assets you no longer use, or change plan
“Your plan does not include asset uploads.” Your plan has no Cloud OBS with storage See Plan limits
“The server is not online. Start it and try again.” The server is off or suspended Hit Turn on and wait
“The server is not ready yet. Try again in a moment.” It has only just started Wait a moment
“No file was received.” The upload never finished Pick the file again
“File upload failed. Try again.” or “The file could not be uploaded. Try again.” It broke on the way Retry; on a bad connection, upload smaller files

“Your plan does not include remote desktop access.” OBS Basic doesn’t come with it Move to OBS Standard or OBS Pro
“The server is not online. Start it and try again.” It’s off Turn on
“The remote desktop is not ready yet. Try again in a moment.” It has only just started Wait and retry
“The remote desktop is unavailable. Try again in a moment.” A one-off glitch Reconnect
“Connection lost” The session dropped Reconnect; it usually comes back on its own
“Server not found.” That server no longer exists Reload the list

Message What it means What to do
“Server suspended” · “The associated subscription is not active.” There’s no active subscription behind it Reactivate it in Billing
“Server stopped” · “Your server is turned off to save resources.” It turned off on its own after being idle Turn on; it takes a few minutes
“Your Cloud OBS is about to switch off” Bell notice: it’s been idle a while and will switch off in about 5 minutes Open the server’s Desktop to cancel it; see It turns off on its own
“We switched off your Cloud OBS (inactivity)” It has already switched off. Nothing was lost Hit Turn on when you need it
“Turning on your server” · “This may take a few minutes.” It’s starting up Wait with the page open
“Deployment error” · “An error occurred during server deployment.” The start-up failed Retry later and open a ticket if it keeps happening
“Server not found” or “Server not available” It doesn’t exist, it isn’t yours, or it can’t be opened right now Go back to OBS Servers and check its status

Unavailable · “No Cloud OBS servers are available at this time. Please try again later.” There are no free servers left Try again later
“There is not enough capacity for this plan in region…” That region still has room, but not the room this plan needs: bigger plans take up more Pick another region, try a lighter plan, or come back later
“El periodo de beta ha finalizado.” (the dashboard still shows this one in Spanish) Beta sign-ups are closed See End of the beta
“You already have a subscription to this product” You can reactivate the previous one Hit Reactivate subscription instead of subscribing again
Message What it means What to do
Unavailable · “There’s no capacity for this plan right now. Try again later.” There’s no room for the plan you’re moving up to. Nothing has been charged and you stay on your current plan Try again later or pick another plan
“Your subscription is scheduled to cancel. Reactivate it before changing plan.” That subscription is cancelled and ends on the date in the row Hit Reactivate in Billing and change plan afterwards
“You have a pending payment. Sort it out and you’ll be able to change plan.” A charge hasn’t gone through and the subscription is Past due See If a charge fails
“We’re already applying a plan change to this subscription. Give it a moment.” It was asked for twice, or the previous one is still being applied Wait a few seconds and reload the page

Message What it means What to do
“Invalid or expired link” The widget link is dead Generate a new one from the dashboard
“OBS isn’t connected” The OBS behind that link isn’t open Open it on the machine at home
“Copy it now: for security it’s only shown once.” Not an error, a warning Save it before you close the page
